The Week of Oct. 3, 2011

This week there is no question to what the topic of my post will be. Yeah, I could talk about the protestors on wall street or Amanda Knox finally being released; but I think there is a bigger topic at hand. Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, died  on Oct. 5, 2011, after battling  pancreatic cancer. I, along with the rest of the world, am deeply saddened ( as I write this post on my Mac Book).

Jobs started the company Apple in his garage at his house in 1996 and at once was fired from apple. In 1996, he was re-hired and was made CEO of Apple. He has a share in Disney and helped in the creation of Pixar. Without jobs, many of the technology and ideas we have today may not exist.

Jobs was seen as a visionary and revolutionized six different industries. Itunes, Ipad, Ipods, Iphones, Apps; all started because of Jobs. People gathered all over the world at apple stores to pay tribute to the man who started it all.
